Dear Fellow Parishioners…
Middle of January already??? I am excited to see that the kiddos are heading back to school, getting back into a somewhat normal schedule. This school year has been hard, hard on students, hard on parents, hard on the teachers so it is a welcome sign that they are headed back in one way or another. Even though we may not be able to gather for Religious Education classes, I hope that families have taken the time to share their faith at home. Our families have been following the Diocese program “Family Together” Family Together – Growing the Domestic Church (stcdio.org). We chose this program because it is easy to navigate and gives families an opportunity to sit together once a week to talk about their faith. It offers family questions and scripture reading. We understand that most kids are online multiple hours a day for school and we didn’t want to add to that. We wanted families to share their faith together without adding extra stress. Sharing our faith shouldn’t be stressful, or hard, or “one more thing we have to do”, it should be a retreat from the hustle and bustle, it should add peace. If you want to see what we have been up to feel free to check it out. May the love of Christ shine bright in you.
Many Blessings to you! Jean
